Ingredients

  • 10.5 oz ERU Spreadable Gouda
  • 11 oz macaroni
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 oz butter
  • ¼ cup of flour
  • 2 1/2 cups
  • ½ oz nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Olive oil

Equipment

Preparation| 10 min

  • Heat the oven to 180 degrees and cook the macaroni as indicated on the package.
  • Drain and place the macaroni in a large baking dish.
  • Chop the onion and fi nely press the garlic.

Prepare| 30 min

  • Heat the olive oil in the frying pan, fry the onion and garlic and add the ham cubes after 3 minutes.
  • Stir everything together, let it cook for another 2 minutes on low heat and add to the macaroni.
  • Heat the butter in a saucepan, when the butter has melted, add the flour and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Beat in the milk with a whisk and stir until you have a nice smooth sauce. Season the sauce with nutmeg, salt and pepper, add the ERU Spreadable Gouda and stir until it all melts together. Mix the sauce with the macaroni.
  • Garnish the Mac ’n Cheese with extra ERU Spreadable Gouda. Put the Mac ’n Cheese in the preheated oven for about 15 to 20 minutes.
