Appetiser with date and crispy Parma ham

A delight to eat and to prepare: this delicious appetiser with date. Combine the savoury crispy Parma ham and cheese with sweet dates. Ideal before the main course or with an aperitif.

Ingredients

  • 200 grams dried dates
  • 60 grams ERU Balans
  • 20 grams sunflower seeds
  • 20 slices of Parma ham
  • 20 canape cups

Preparation| 5 min

  • Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  • Pit the dates and chop very finely.
  • Mix the dates into the ERU Balans until you have a smooth mousse.
  • Toast the sunflower seeds quickly over a low heat.

Method| 10 min

  • Fold the slice of Parma ham in half.
  • Press it in two again to create a little rose.
  • Put each Parma ham rose in a canapé cup.
  • Spread a teaspoon of the date mousse on each Parma ham rose.
  • Scatter the sunflower seeds over the cups.
  • Place the cups on a baking tray.
  • Bake the cups in the middle of the oven for around 7 minutes.
  • When the Parma ham is crispy, the cups are ready to serve.
